**** IF YOU FIND THIS ALL TOO HARD?! THAT's OK!

We have a $5 print setup service - we'll do any basic print set up you need. Just send us your image at the best quality you have, including clear instructions on what you want (page size, whitespace requirements and so on), and we'll sort out the nitty gritty for you!

**** WANT TO DO IT YOURSELF? READ ON!

Thanks for downloading our print template files. We're looking forward to working with you!

Now, some notes to help you prepare your files so you get precisely what you want. Ideally please visit our How to Prepare and File Sending pages - these cover all the nitty gritty in much more detail than these quick notes.

https://imagescience.com.au/services/fine-art-printing/how-to-prepare-files
and
https:/imagescience.com.au/services/fine-art-printing/send-files

We have two basic services:

Sheet Prints - will be printed on an A4/A3/A3+ or A2 sheet.

Roll Prints - will be printed on a section of a 24" or 44" roll. (IlfoTex prints are a special case, and are printed on a 42" roll)

Things you CANNOT change about the template files:

* The physical size tags
* the guidelines - your image must fall within the blue printable area guidelines - we cannot print edge to edge. These are NOT bleed/trim lines, they just indicate where the printer can reliably put down ink. You must not put ANYTHING outside those lines, or your order will be delayed and you may need to pay file set up fees for us to fix this for you.
* The colour model must remain some form of RGB

Things you CAN change about the templates:

* The colour space - and non-device RGB colour space is fine - e.g. sRGB, AdobeRGB, ProPhoto, Ektaspace, etc. etc.
* The PPI - you can change the PPI to whatever you like but do NOT change the physical size tags
* The bit depth - 8 or 16 bit is fine. Do not use 32 bit (i.e. HDR)
* The orientation - it doesn't matter if you supply the template in portrait or landscape orientation, so if you find it easier to work with the templates rotated 90 degrees - that's fine.

PREPARING YOUR FILES:

1. The basic process you should follow is this:

1. Open our template file

Open our template file - the one that matches the physical size of the sheet or roll section you want the image to be printed on.

2. Open your image (separate to the template).

Re-size your image to be the size you want the print on the page to be, and re-sample it to 300 PPI (or alternatively, resample our print template to the same PPI as your image - the key thing is both the source image and the destination template must have the same PPI, or a change in size will occur when you bring your image over to the template!).

3. Drop your image on to our template file.

Position your image on the page layout how you want it, with respect to whitespace, and...
*** Make sure all of your image stays within the blue printable area guidelines! ***

** The guide lines are very important - they show the safe printable areas (they are not bleed/trim lines) **
** ALL of your image MUST stay within these blue guide lines or your order WILL be delayed **

Any part of the image outside of these areas will NOT be printed OR may be printed in an unspecified way.

4. Save your image as a TIFF or high quality (10+) JPG file (you won't see any difference in print between a quality 10+ JPG and a TIFF).

5. Use our file uploader (DO NOT EMAIL LARGE FILES, THEY WILL NOT COME THROUGH) to send us the files:

6. Finally, submit a matching online order to actually get the prints rolling:

***** Notes on A5, A1, which are both special cases.

A5:
There are a bit different, as we only print 2-ups (i.e. we use an A4 sheet, which we then split that to make two A5s) - so please see: https://imagescience.com.au/knowledge/guide-to-setting-up-a5-files-for-print

A1:
We provide a template for A1 prints - these are actually printed on a 24 inch roll section, and physically trimmed at the included grey trim line (and priced and ordered as a 24x35 roll print plus trim). As always - ALL of your actual image must stay within the blue printable area guide lines.
